Donations

CASH OR CHECK
Put into collection plate during the service or send to the church by postal mail.
ON-LINE
Use your bank’s on-line bill pay options. Because St Dunstan’s is a small organization, this will result in a paper check being mailed to the church but is electronic for the donar.
ZELLE (available as of May 1, 2022)
This is a fully electronic transfer directly from the contributor’s bank to the church. The Zelle recipient for St Dunstan’s is the email address: treasurer@stdunstananglican.org
DISTRIBUTIONS FROM AN IRA
For individuals over 70 1/2, distributions made directly from the IRA to a charitable organization, such as St Dunstan can be used to satisfy all or part of an individual’s required minimum distribution for the year – this approach reduces your taxable income from your IRA distribution
STOCK GIFTS
Transfer of stock that has been owned for at least 1 year (and qualifies as a long term capital gain) can avoid capital gain tax that may be due if the stock were sold and the proceeds used to make a cash contribution. St Dunstan has an account at a low cost brokerage firm, Charles Schwab, that can receive gifts of stock – please contact the treasurer if you need account details to use this approach

Tax deductibility of contributions – the church can’t provide specific tax advice, however in general, contributions to St Dunstan (as both a religious organization and a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization) are deductible for those individuals that itemize on Schedule A.
