We are very excited to present of fifth annual Mardi Gras Festival and Lenten book study, Sunday February 11th. Bring a guest.
Joshua Moon (Ph.D., St Andrews) is a Fellows Tutor at Anselm House at the U of M. His area of study is the Prophets, though has branched into Old Testament and Theology more broadly. He is ordained in the Presbyterian church, has served as a senior pastor, lectured at various universities and seminaries, and lives with his wife and two children in St. Louis Park. He will be speaking on the value of the Old Testament Prophets for Christian life, looking particularly at Hosea’s marriages as declaring God’s devotion to cover the shame of his people with his own honor.
We will have fellowship at the usual time after the 10am service in the undercroft with a Pancake Supper sponsored by the Men’s Group and then Dr. Moon will speak at 12:00 p.m.
The following Sunday, February 18thth between the 8 o’clock and 10 o’clock services Fr. Chris will lead a book study on Christian Proficiency by Martin Thornton for the Sundays in Lent.
